Job Overview:
Our client is a leading Defence organisation specialising in the design, develop, manufacturing and sustainment of an array of radar systems domestically and internationally. They are seeking an experienced Program Manager. This role is ideal for someone with a background in the acquisition of Defence programs, particularly with AUSDEFCON experience. You will play a pivotal role in managing a PMO capability, engineering management, project delivery, export control and procurement while ensuring the successful implementation of Defence systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engagement of key defence programs and act as the primary point of contact.
- Engage directly with key stakeholders, and a network of industry professionals and senior defence personnel.
- Make technical decisions, as well as assessing design options and change proposals and leading the technical decision-making process.
- Work collaboratively with the sub-contractors, technical experts and the design authority to ensure the design approach and status meets technical requirements.
- Oversee the project planning, and implementation for new Defence systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and other cross-functional teams to align project activities with contract specifications and performance expectations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must be an Australian Citizen and have a AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in Defence acquisition projects.
- Proven experience with AUSDEFCON guidelines, specifically in managing System Engineering programs in the Defence sector.
- Strong experience engaging directly with Defence customers and stakeholders, adept at managing complex requirements and high-level communications.
