How the application process works

1. Read the Job Ad

Whether you’ve come across it on our website, via Seek, or one of our consultants has sent it to you, take the time to review the job ad carefully.

2. Tailor Your Resume and Cover Letter

Always the most time consuming and brain-draining part of the process, but you should never send a generic resumé or cover letter to anyone. Don’t worry; we have a resumé and interview guide that will help make this process SO much easier. Click here to view guides

3. Apply

Once you’ve got your ducks in a row, simply upload your documents and hit the submit button. You’ll receive a confirmation email once we have it on our end.

(When we review your application, if we don’t think you’re right for the role, we will let you know via email.)

4. Let's Get Talking

If we think you’re a good match for the role, we’ll pick up the phone and give you a call to organise an initial phone interview or face-to-face conversation.

5. Singing Your Praises

After your phone call and resumé review, our consultants will put you forward to the client as a potential candidate for the role. We always gain your permission before putting you forward to a client.

(If we decide you’re not right for the position after this review, we’ll give you a call to let you know.)

6. Introduction

The next step is to get you in for a face-to-face interview with our client. We’ll coordinate a time and date to suit you both and will make sure you have all the details you need. We want to get you there feeling prepared and supported. You can also do some extra prep by reading our interview guide.

7. The First Interview

We won’t be in there with you, but we’ll cheer you on from our desks. We know you’ll do great. After you leave your interview, we’ll call you to have a chat about how the interview went.

8. Client Follow-Up

We put in a call to our client to get their feelings on the interview. We aim to get this within 2 business days from your interview so you’re not left waiting too long. Sometimes it can take a little longer.

(If for any reason you’re unsuccessful, we’ll definitely let you know, and have some feedback as to why.)

9. The Next Interview

It is common for many of our clients to hold 2-3 interviews or face-to-face meetings as part of the recruitment process. It can feel like a big-time investment. But the benefit of this is you get to meet a few different people within the organisation to help you decide if the role and company is a good fit for you. This part can sometimes be a bit of a slow process, but we do our best to keep things moving and keep you informed.

(Again, if for any reason you’re unsuccessful, we’ll tell you and share some real feedback as to why.)

10. Reference Checks

We handle this on behalf of our client, so make sure you have your referees ready and briefed to take our call.

11. Offer

One of the best parts of our job is making the call to say the job is yours. We’ll call with all the offer details. Once you’ve verbally accepted, we’ll help coordinate your letter of offer and tie up the finer details for you. All you need to do is sign on the dotted line, and crack open the bubbly.

12. Here's to New Beginnings

Sign your contract and send it over – then get the briefcase packed! Or handbag, or backpack. Now is when the fun really starts. As you embark on your next exciting chapter, we do the recruitment happy dance for you.

You can also expect a call from us within your first few weeks to see how things are going and how you’re settling in.

Things don’t end here. We continue to be in your corner. Success to us isn’t finding you a new job, it’s finding you the right job, in the right place so you thrive and love what you do. And if that’s not what you’ve found, we haven’t got it right.

Pick up the phone and give us a call so we can work out your next move together.

We are here for you every step of the way.
