Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly technical Cyber Security Engineering Manager expertise.

As a key member of the team, you'll work closely with the Associate Director of Engineering and global cybersecurity teams to strengthen cybersecurity engineering capabilities for Australian Defence Force (ADF) programs. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development, maintenance, and support of military products and ICT systems that protect national security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop a skilled team of cybersecurity and V&V engineers to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for engineering staff.
  • Drive the adoption of new cybersecurity and V&V strategies, techniques, and technologies to foster continuous improvement.
  • Tackle complex problems through investigation, analysis, and solution implementation.
  • Proactively manage risks and opportunities across functions for business success.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and high-quality products.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify security vulnerabilities and support risk mitigation efforts.

Skills & Experience:
Essential:

  • Proven technical leadership in software development, V&V, cybersecurity, and security operations.
  • Experience in V&V activities and systems engineering - nice to have
  • Experience representing the company as a technical expert in meetings.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
  • Cybersecurity certifications or relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with the Commonwealth's Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Information Security Management (ISM) controls is a plus.
  • Previous work with Australian government or Defence projects is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
