Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with a strong engineering background to lead teams in developing high-performance systems and products. You will coordinate cross-functional efforts, manage system design, and ensure the successful execution of complex projects while meeting customer and business requirements. This role requires expertise in both project management and systems engineering, focusing on hardware and software integration, to deliver solutions efficiently and at the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project management and engineering tasks, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the product meets all customer requirements and is delivered on schedule.
  • Manage the analysis, specification, design, verification, and validation of systems to ensure all functional, performance, and quality characteristics are balanced and meet stakeholder needs.
  • Oversee the integration of hardware and software, ensuring all system components work seamlessly together.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to deliver efficient solutions, while monitoring costs, risks, and schedules.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, ensuring alignment with project goals and customer expectations.
  • Foster a transdisciplinary approach to project development, ensuring effective collaboration across teams.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors, and maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and project success.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in project management and systems engineering, with a focus on hardware, software, and system integration.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership in delivering complex programs, ensuring projects meet customer and business requirements.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering processes, including requirements capture, design, and validation.
  • Familiarity with Australian government acquisition processes.
  • Experience working in agile development and DEVSECOPS environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance and Australian citizenship.
  • Training in systems engineering and configuration management.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings within Australia.
