I am on the hunt for a seasoned Project Controls Specialist to join our client's team, bringing a sharp eye for detail, strong commercial acumen, and a collaborative mindset.

This contract role offers a chance to play a key part in a high-profile Defence program, working alongside senior leadership to drive project performance and outcomes. You'll provide critical support across cost, schedule, risk, and governance-making it a perfect opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.

  • Contract: Initial 3 months, potential to extend

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and report on monthly spend against budgets
  • Develop and manage pricing models and cost build-ups
  • Navigate sourcing, procurement, and governance processes
  • Manage contracts within existing terms and advise on best practice
  • Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) to support project control
  • Build and maintain waterfall project schedules
  • Provide mentorship and support to wider team
  • Identify and manage critical paths and contingency plans
  • Report on schedule progress and key milestones
  • Conduct risk assessments and articulate mitigation strategies
  • Use tools like Predict to manage and monitor risks

Ideal Candidate:

  • Background in large-scale Defence projects
  • A confident communicator and collaborator
  • Strong financial and scheduling skills
  • Working knowledge of AUSDEFCON
  • Defence security clearance (baseline or higher)
  • Based in WA (remote may be considered)
