Position Overview:
Become an integral part of a dynamic logistics team within the defence sector, focusing on the delivery of LSAR (Logistics Support Analysis) and MRD (Maintenance Requirements Determination) for Army and RAAF aviation platforms. As MRD Practitioner, you will play a key role in assessing and refining maintenance systems to ensure equipment and systems' reliability and sustainability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, analysing engineering designs, developing maintenance strategies, and driving improvements in maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage LSAR data in compliance with DEF(AUST)5692, utilising structured source data and eMRD workflows.
- Review and validate logistics data inputs to update CAMM2 configuration data and maintenance policies.
- Analyse OEM/USN servicing schedules, TMPs, and maintenance policies to ensure alignment with requirements.
- Ensure consistency between LSAR/CAMM2 data and ADF sustainment and configuration standards.
- Conduct spares analysis, airworthiness policy updates, and preventive maintenance planning.
- Collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Assist engineering, logistics, and maintenance teams in improving support systems and processes.
- Coordinate maintenance and production activities, ensuring seamless integration with configuration management processes.
- Regularly update logistics support models and provide essential data for analysis and decision-making.
- Develop preliminary task and resource requirements, including repair level analysis and scheduled maintenance programs.
- Participate in life cycle cost development activities.
- Process Maintenance Policy Information or Amendment requests (e.g., EE400s/EE401s/MIERs) as needed.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an MRD role.
- Strong knowledge of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations.
- Ability to meet Australian Defence security and ITAR requirements (applicants must be Australian citizens).
- Familiarity with eMRD and eLSA for logistics support analysis.
- Previous experience in the defence aviation sector as an MRD analyst or engineer.
- Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or a related field, or a minimum of 8 years of experience in Defence Aviation or a similar role.
- Certification in logistics or maintenance management.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Expertise in Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM).
- Proven leadership in delivering LSAR and mentoring junior team members.
- Experience with technical management codes (TMC) and work area examinations (WAE).
- Familiarity with LSAR tools such as OmegaPS, Raytheon EAGLE, or SLICwave.
- Solid background in MRD, aviation maintenance, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), or technical trades.
- Exceptional data management, documentation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Working Environment:
- Office-based with occasional travel to client sites.
