Our Client is seeking a specialised defence industry program delivery professional who has worked closely with capture teams and who has a detailed understanding of supporting bid responses. The candidate will have a track record in delivery of defence programmes/ projects in infrastructure, land, maritime or aerospace. Candidates will need to have a traceable history in developing strategies and have develop relationships with the Defence, primes and subcontractors.

The Director of Defence can be based in either Sydney or Canberra, and the role will require some interstate travel. There will be international exposure as our client's business operations continue to expand.

Your Experience

  • Strong experience in delivering projects in the defence sector
  • A traceable history in working with defence primes and SMEs
  • A good working knowledge of ASDEFCON
  • Strong knowledge of cost control earned value and project management principals.
  • Experience supporting project definition at the bid and tender phase.
  • Have experienced CASG acquisition and sustainment process and procedures
  • Experience in business development and account management.
