Cloud Architecture Opportunities - Federal Government Program

We are seeking experienced Solution Architects and Technical / Operations Architects to support a major digital transformation within a federal government agency. These roles will contribute to the delivery of large-scale cloud-based systems across a complex data and analytics environment.

Start Date: July 2025
Contract Length: 24 months
Security Clearance: Baseline (mandatory)
Locations: Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide
Citizenship: Australian Citizens only

About the Program

You will work as part of a high-performing team modernising digital platforms using AWS, Azure, containerisation, and DevSecOps practices. The environment is agile, multi-vendor, and outcomes-focused.

Open Roles

1. Solution Architect (x2 FTE)
Design and deliver scalable cloud-based applications aligned with business and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define architectural patterns and integration approaches

  • Design end-to-end cloud solutions that meet business objectives

  • Ensure designs align with compliance, security, and cost optimisation

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in designing cloud-based application architectures

  • Strong understanding of API integration, multi-cloud environments, and governance

  • Background working with Agile teams on enterprise-scale solutions

  • Experience reviewing and assessing solution risks and impacts

2. Technical / Operations Architect (x3 FTE)
Lead the development of secure, resilient, and automated cloud infrastructure aligned with FinOps and performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect operationally sound cloud infrastructure solutions

  • Implement automation, logging, monitoring, and disaster recovery mechanisms

  • Optimise cloud performance and operational cost-effectiveness

Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering large-scale cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)

  • Strong background in FinOps, system performance tuning, and automation

  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and operational risk mitigation

  • Ability to advise technical delivery teams and support enterprise systems

These roles are designed to work in tandem:

  • Solution Architects focus on the what and why behind cloud-enabled applications

  • Technical / Operations Architects ensure the how - delivering reliability, automation, and cost-efficiency
