We are working with several Defence Industry suppliers who require Technicians / Mechanical Technicians / Electronics Technicians to join their team. Technicians will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic, mechanical, and optical systems. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.



We have opportunities across a variety of locations including Melbourne, Victoria, Adelaide, South Australia and Perth, Western Australia.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic, mechanical, and optical components and systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, schematics, and engineering drawings to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Utilise diagnostic tools and software to analyse and interpret data for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Document test results, maintenance activities, and repair actions in accordance with company procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and other team members as needed.



Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical training/experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a technician role, preferably within the aerospace or defence industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance.



MUST be an Australian citizen and be eligible to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Those that hold current baseline or above clearance are encouraged to apply!
