Role Overview
Our defence client is seeking 2 Technical Writers to support the enhancement and replacement of existing cybersecurity documentation and technical materials. This is a critical role in ensuring the organisation's cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and procedures are up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, update, and replace current cybersecurity documentation and technical manuals.
- Collaborate with technical and cybersecurity teams to gather and validate information.
- Develop and maintain clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation, including policies, procedures, and technical guides.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with organisational standards and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Support the development of governance and compliance documentation.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in technical writing, particularly in a cybersecurity or defence environment.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and technical processes.
- Ability to work with technical stakeholders to translate complex information into clear documentation.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with Australian Government cybersecurity frameworks (ISM, Essential 8).
- Experience with technical writing in a defence environment.
- Knowledge of system administration and IT infrastructure processes.
