Role Overview
We are seeking talented Systems Engineers and Senior Consultants to join a key Maritime Capability team. These positions provide an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects within the Navy and Defence Maritime sector, contributing across the entire systems engineering lifecycle-from design and requirements through to verification, validation, and sustainment.
While the preferred location is Canberra, we are open to exceptional candidates based in Sydney!

What You'll Bring
- Engineering Expertise: A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering
- Defence Industry Experience: 2-5 years in systems engineering within the Defence Maritime sector
- Security Clearance: Active NV1 AGSVA Clearance (or higher) or the ability to obtain one
- Collaboration & Adaptability: Ability to navigate complex, high-security environments with ease
- Communication & Leadership: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience leading teams and mentoring while delivering high-quality technical outcomes
- Problem-Solving Mindset: A human-centric, solutions-focused approach with high emotional intelligence
Bonus Skills (Not Essential, But a Plus)
- Defence Consulting Experience: Proven experience in delivering "Above the Line" consulting or contracting services
- Defence Capability Expertise: Familiarity with the early stages of the One Defence Capability System
- Policy & Process Development: Experience with engineering policies, capability definition artefacts, or system integration
- Specialist Knowledge: Expertise in combat systems, weapons systems, or Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
