We currently have a position available for a Systems Engineering Manager to be based in Sydney, NSW. This is a key position on the team for a major project(s), as well as leading a team of engineers delivering a cutting-edge training solution to defence. This role will see you heavily involved in mentoring and leading but also the mapping requirements and facilitate the SEMP while delivering solutions.
This is a key role in the organisation tasked with delivering capability to the ADF.
The Role:
- Elicit / refine / document requirements
- Lead and mentor a team
- Review work tasks by technical staff
- Facilitating teams on all systems engineering tasks
- contribute to the development and implementation of a variety of plans
- Identify project and product risks and escalate using defined processes
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
Experience Required:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
- Manage information systems
- CASG acquisition or sustainment projects
- A traceable record in managing integrated teams
- Experienced in Defence Systems Engineering (Land)
- Strong integration and development knowledge of C2 products
- Experienced Project Management methodologies
- TRAMM-L knowledge
- Strong Communication skills both written and oral
- Must have a current AGSVA-issued Security Clearance (NV1)
Ideally, the successful applicant will have experience with Systems Engineering and Systems Safety tools and knowledge of Systems Engineering Standards and is required to have qualifications in Engineering/Science and previous experience working with large complex systems.
Candidates will have a good level of experience in leadership and CASG acquisition or sustainment projects with a developed knowledge of TRAMM-L in a C4i/C2 environment.
