We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer. It is an essential requirement to have an Australian citizenship and a minimum NV1 security clearance due to the nature of the defence projects we are recruiting for.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Experience working with including but not limited to:
Auxiliary Systems - Pumps, Piping Systems
Heating & Air‐conditioning Systems
Refrigeration System
Complete mechanical systems design for naval ship systems, applying robust systems engineering process
Undertake technical investigations, root cause analysis and solution identification
Integrate platform mechanical systems on naval vessels
Experience in the relevant CAD/3D software package (Micro‐station, AUTOCAD)
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Ability to manage, prioritise and complete multiple tasks concurrently
QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree ‐ Engineering (Mechanical)
Must have an Australian Defence Security Clearance NV1
Demonstrated understanding of mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pumps and piping systems
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Australian Citizenship: Due to the nature of the project, applicants must be Australian citizens
Experience in the Defence or Naval sector is highly regarded
