We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with experience in scheduling and planning as well as the ability to create "What if" scenarios. The successful candidate will have experience in scheduling within a Defence engineering environment using tools like MS Project, OPP, P6 etc.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Create detailed Microsoft Project and Planner project schedules with phases, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Gather information from project managers and stakeholders to build a timeline.
  • Regularly modify schedules to reflect project progress and scope and resource changes.
  • Create, manage, and report project schedules with Microsoft Project and Planner.
  • Track project progress against schedules.
  • Inform stakeholders of project progress and updates.
  • In case of schedule deviations, propose revisions and solutions to maintain project timelines.
  • Help allocate resources according to project schedules.
  • Assess resource usage and propose optimisations.
  • Collaborate with project management to address resource disputes and improve utilisation.
  • Address project scheduling issues.
  • Assess schedule changes and offer risk reduction.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Must have excellent communications skills and be a team player.
  • Experience in handling project schedules within a Defence environment.
  • Experienced in the use of Scheduling tools (MS Project, Open Plan Professional, Primavera etc.)
  • Ability to build and maintain productive, efficient, and professional internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Flexible and pragmatic approach to task execution in a continuously changing environment.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Australian Citizen (essential)
  • Must have a current Defence security clearance (essential)
