We are seeking an experienced Requirements Engineer to join a pioneering Defence Maritime program in Sydney, focused on cutting-edge autonomous technology and robotics. You will play a critical role in defining and managing the requirements that drive the development and execution of next-generation maritime solutions.

As part of a dynamic team, you will provide specialist engineering support, ensuring that defence projects meet their technical and operational goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and management of requirements for Defence maritime projects, ensuring they align with project goals and technical standards.
  • Provide specialist engineering support during design and development phases, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are met.
  • Contribute to the development of autonomous technology and robotics, driving innovation in maritime solutions.
  • Support the system design process, ensuring that requirements are properly translated into technical specifications.
  • Use DOORS to manage and track requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and integration of requirements into the overall project.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in defining and managing requirements for complex Defence or maritime projects.
  • Extensive experience with DOORS is essential.
  • Experience in Defence maritime projects with an understanding of relevant technologies.
  • Strong ability to provide engineering support during the development and execution of design activities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and ensure project requirements are delivered on time.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must have a current NV1 security clearance or higher

Eligibility Requirements

  • Australian Citizenship: Due to the nature of the role, Australian citizenship is required.
  • Security Clearance: Must hold an active NV1 Defence security clearance or higher.
