We are expanding our team and as such are looking for an Account Manager to join our team in either Sydney or Canberra supporting a major defence organisation in their continued expansion across Australia. It would suit a driven process orientated person who is adept at managing relationships.

Kinexus is a specialist recruiter into the Defence and Federal government space. We have been recruiting technical engineering and ICT staff in Australia for over 20 years providing staff who have an influence on influential projects.

Given our background in defence Kinexus are in a unique position to provide people for projects at clients all over Australia. The defence market is in the midst of a transitional period which has presented opportunity and challenges alike. We are looking to add to our experienced team in our head office in Sydney's CBD or in Canberra supporting the needs of a major defence company.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Account Manager who will support our client to help source candidates for the wide array of projects that we support, predominantly in the Canberra market. This is a role specifically looking at matching the right people to our client and to ensure the smooth running of the account. This will involve working with a mix of current stakeholders and onsite contractors as well as identifying other areas of the business we can support.

The role will include:

  • Sourcing and connecting with Engineering and ICT professionals, specifically with defence backgrounds.
  • Developing relationships with both existing stakeholders and identifying new ones
  • Developing and nurture a network of ex ADF / Defence professionals
  • Identifying opportunities to connect with Security cleared, technical candidates across engineering and ICT
  • Developing long-term relationships
  • Developing a strong social presence

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • An ex defence professional would be ideal for this role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Any previous recruitment or sales experience
  • Ability to connect with a broad range of people

  • Team orientated who is able to use their own initiative
