EOI-Operational Technology Network Security Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for Cyber Security OT specialist to support our client with their Cyber Uplift projects. As an Operational Technology (OT) Network Security Engineer supporting critical infrastructure, your primary goal is to ensure the security and reliability of OT network systems. Leveraging your expertise in network security and OT environments, you will design, implement, and maintain robust security measures to mitigate potential risks and threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement security measures for OT network infrastructure to protect critical operational systems and data.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish and enforce network security policies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits of OT systems to identify vulnerabilities and address security gaps.
  • Monitor network traffic and security logs to detect and respond to security incidents promptly.
  • Coordinate with IT and OT teams to integrate security controls seamlessly into the OT environment.
  • Provide technical guidance on network security best practices to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of security technologies to enhance OT security posture.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities in OT environments and recommend proactive security measures.

Requirements:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Security+) are advantageous.
  • Proven experience as a network engineer with a focus on OT environments, ideally within critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of OT protocols, systems, and architectures (e.g., SCADA, DCS, PLCs).
  • Deep knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with security standards and frameworks applicable to OT environments (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82).
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools for threat detection and mitigation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
