Our large federal government clients are looking for Network Security engineers to work in national security, defence and intelligence space.

Due to the nature of clients we work with here at Kinexus and the projects these roles will be based on, an Australian Government security clearance is essential. This opportunity does not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for a security clearance.

As we are now progressing along in 2024, Defence requirements are certainly not slowing down, they have a continuing need for security cleared individuals to work across projects in the Defence and Intelligence space. Long term contracts (12 months+) available.

As a result, we are looking to speak to Network Security Engineers who have an understanding of:

• Networking concepts, protocols, and security methodologies
• Communication methods, principles, and concepts that support the network infrastructure
• Information Technology (IT) security principles and methods including firewalls, demilitarised zones, encryption)
• Network security architecture concepts, e.g. topology
• Network infrastructure, e.g. testing and maintaining
• Utilising network management tools
• Securing network communications
• Network concepts e.g. VPN, VRF and MPLS
• Cyber Security
• Cyber threat
• Cloud Environments such AWS, Azure, GCP
