  • Governance Documentation: Assist in creating governance documentation necessary for network accreditation, including CONOPS, System Security Plan, High-Level Design, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Security Implementation: Apply security controls in line with PSPF, ISM, and NIST 800 series standards.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts and automations to deploy and maintain network services in a reproducible, auditable manner.
  • Maintenance & Patching: Ensure hosts are maintained and patched as per governance processes.
  • Compute and Virtualisation Management: Manage virtualisation services (VMware, Proxmox, Nutanix, Xen) within the network.
  • Identity and Access Management: Oversee network identity services (Active Directory/LDAP), including access controls and group policy management.
  • Network Services Management: Administer network services such as Artifactory, GitLab, SonarQube, and support for software development and simulation activities.
  • Productivity Services: Manage network productivity tools like Wiki and Chat services.
  • Storage Management: Oversee NAS/SAN network storage and ensure backups are performed as required.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in designing and managing standalone networks supporting virtualised environments (Linux and Windows).
  • Strong knowledge of GitOps processes and relevant automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.).
  • Familiarity with security standards (PSPF, ISM, NIST 800 series) and experience implementing them.
  • Experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Proxmox, Nutanix, Xen).
  • Proven ability to maintain identity services (Active Directory/LDAP) and manage access controls.
  • Strong knowledge of network services supporting software development (Artifactory, GitLab, etc.).
  • Competence in managing network storage services and performing regular backups.
