A prominent Defence consultancy with a national presence is looking for multiple Modelling and Simulation Engineers for contract positions in the Maritime and Aerospace sectors. These roles will involve Systems Modelling, Software Modelling and Simulation, and Verification & Validation (V&V).
Candidates with Defence experience and backgrounds in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Software Engineering are encouraged to apply. The required years of experience are flexible, and we welcome applications from both mid-level and senior professionals.
These positions are expected to start in December or January, depending on candidate availability and processing timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and test mathematical models for Defence platform systems and sub-systems.
- Use tools to simplify the workflow for generating analysis products.
- Review simulation results to develop guidance and support tools.
- Create detailed documentation, including report writing
- Develop new models and execute existing ones using various software tools.
- Design and conduct tests to validate individual models and the overall system.
Requirements:
- Experience with Naval or Air platform systems or related Defence applications.
- Strong background in modelling and simulation, software development, or numerical analysis.
- Familiarity with contemporary modelling and simulation tools.
- Based in Melbourne and available to travel to Defence facility (inner suburbs)
- NV1 clearance or higher
