IT Test Analyst - Federal Government Project

We are seeking multiple Test Analysts experienced in Mainframe environments for long-term roles in a major Federal Government project. These positions require an AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance and can be based in Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, or Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage system and acceptance testing, including software security testing, ensuring integrity and alignment with project goals.
  • Define and communicate test strategies, processes, and best practices.
  • Create and execute detailed test cases, scripts, and regression packs based on functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Analyse test outcomes, report anomalies, and maintain a defect register.
  • Provide authoritative advice on test planning, execution, and automation strategies.
  • Support and drive test automation initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Report on testing progress, risks, and system quality metrics to stakeholders.

Technical Requirements:

  • Expertise in test planning and execution for complex systems.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Strong skills in designing and executing functional, non-functional, and regression testing
  • Proficiency in defect tracking and quality metrics reporting.
  • Familiarity with software security testing and ensuring traceability back to requirements.


These roles offer permanent or contracting engagement, with an initial two-year contract and up to three 12-month extensions.
