We are seeking multiple System Analysts experienced in Mainframe environments for long-term roles in a Federal Government project. These positions require an AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance and can be based in Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, or Brisbane.
This is a long-term opportunity for contractors, with the project set to last for up to 5 years, with contractors set to work on an initial contract period of 2 years followed by up to 3x 12 month extensions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design components using appropriate modelling techniques, aligned with agreed architectures, design standards, patterns, and methodologies.
- Identify and evaluate alternative design options and trade-offs to meet project objectives.
- Create multiple design views to address concerns from different stakeholders, ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are met.
- Model, simulate, or prototype system component behaviour to facilitate stakeholder approval.
- Produce detailed design specifications to guide system construction.
- Review, verify, and improve own designs to ensure alignment with project specifications and standards.
Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency in system design principles, modelling techniques, and architectural frameworks.
- Ability to assess design trade-offs and create detailed specifications for system components.
- Experience with Mainframe technology and environments.
- Strong capability to review and enhance designs based on stakeholder needs.
It is anticipated that the project will start in March 2025. These roles offer permanent or contracting engagement, with an initial two-year contract and up to three 12-month extensions.
