We are looking for a Senior Engineering Professional with significant Defence experience to join our client's team on a contract basis. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to use your leadership skills to guide and strengthen engineering management while driving key activities during an important phase of the program.
This role is designed to offer support, additional capacity, and valuable expertise to the current Engineering Manager and the wider Engineering Team. It's an ideal opportunity for senior professionals who thrive in a consulting capacity and enjoy sharing their knowledge and experience.

- Length: Initial contract until May, with potential to extend thereafter
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager to design and refine an Engineering Management Model tailored for the projects needs.
- Provide mentoring to Engineering Managers and Engineering Leads, guiding their professional development and enhancing team capabilities.
- Support leadership in training, and sustaining engineers within the team, focusing on long-term growth and performance.
- Lead and contribute to key engineering deliverables associated with the program, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Engage in strategic oversight, ensuring successful delivery of engineering outcomes.
Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive experience in engineering management, particularly within Defence and naval programs.
- A solid track record of mentoring and developing high-performing engineering teams.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects
- Active Defence security clearance is essential.
- Based in WA or willing to relocate for the right opportunity.
- Available for an immediate start.
