Our client is seeking an experienced RF Technician who has a significant level of experience in modern Digital Communications technology to help deliver communication solutions to the warfighter. Defence is operating in an ever increasing contested, highly complex and dynamic battlespace. They need systems that can function in all weather and conditions.
The Role:
- Ensure safe, reliable and effective installation, operation and maintenance of communication systems and networks
- Provide maintenance and support of technical systems
- Maintain specifications
- Test, identify and repair equipment as required
- Work with engineering and projects teams to develop technical solutions for clients
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
Experience Required:
- A CERT IV in Electronics or Electrical communications systems
- A strong track record in RF communications
- Must have UHF/VHF/HF or SATCOM experience
- Terrestrial or SATCOM bearer experience would be beneficial
- Assist in the maintenance installation and commissioning as required
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and Oral)
- A high level of understanding of user requirements
- Must have a current AGSVA issued NV1 Clearance to apply
