Position: Senior Electronics Engineer
Location: Geelong, VIC

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of electronic systems for defence applications. The role involves working on cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with defence industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of electronic systems, including circuit boards, power distribution, and embedded control systems.
  • Oversee the integration of electronic components into larger defence systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.
  • Conduct testing, verification, and validation of electronic systems to meet military standards (e.g., MIL-STD).
  • Ensure designs comply with defence regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Support project planning, risk assessment, and resource allocation for electronics development programs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, defence contractors, and government agencies to align with project requirements.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in electronic system design, preferably in the defence or aerospace sector.
  • Proficiency in PCB design, embedded systems, and FPGA/ASIC development.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, RF systems, and signal processing.
  • Experience with Altium Designer, MATLAB, Simulink, and embedded C/C++.
  • Familiarity with defence standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, DEF(AUST), AS/NZS 4761).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance (NV1 or higher preferred).
