The Australian Government is further boosting Australia's cyber defences to ensure our essential networks are even more secure and reliable. Increasing their capabilities to uplift Federal, State and Territory cyber hygiene and maturity.

Our large federal government client requires a Cyber Security Specialist to join their team to undertake assessments of Government entities and provide practical advice to Government on improvements, and develop scalable tools to assist with cyber security measurement and remediation.

The successful candidate will have expert knowledge in technical components of cyber security, and will be able to expand those skills to a wide range of situations. The diverse nature of Government agencies and their varying roles requires specialist skills in multiple areas of technology and cyber security.

Initial contract duration:12 months

Location of work: Canberra or Melbourne

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

• Australian Citizenship and a minimum NV1 security clearance is essential
• Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of technical Cyber Security experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with a security focus on enterprise systems.
• Experience with implementing one or more of the Essential Eight Mitigation Strategies and other related security controls.
• Demonstrated experience with advanced offensive security techniques, including evasion and bypass techniques.
• Demonstrated experience as a senior SOC analyst.
• Demonstrated experience with architecting SIEM solutions.
