How would you summarize what you do at Kinexus in one paragraph?
I work in a team that looks after the Defence Land & Aerospace clients. I make it my responsibility to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to Land & Aerospace projects and position myself to provide industry advice to the Defence professionals in our area.
What do you like best about working at Kinexus?
Everyone is an absolute professional, ideas and information is shared freely and that means everyone can position themselves to be a leader in their industry.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
Telling someone that their hard work has paid off and they have the job.
What has been your least favourite job and why?
I did a short stint as a dishy whilst in year 11 and I was called in the night before my Physics exam. I went in because they said it was “just for an hour to help setup”… However I arrived to a broken elevator, 200 broken dishes in the broken elevator, 300 guests upstairs, and nobody else rostered on. That was my last shift.
You’re ex forces, what was your trade and what were you responsible for?
Leading Seaman Hydrographic Surveyor in the Navy.
What words of wisdom would you pass onto your childhood self?
Google and Facebook – register the names…trust me!

Learn the guitar… the Bassoon is useless around a campfire!
What’s your greatest achievement and how has it shaped you?
Becoming a father. You are always told how much things change when it happens but nothing can prepare you for it. Everything is about their well-being and that shapes everything I do.

A few people come to mind; Henry Rollins, Bill Hicks, Dr David Suzuki, Hunter S. Thompson
What’s your favourite movie?
Pulp Fiction, Interstellar, and Dr Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb… timeless, “Gentleman, you can’t fight in here! This is the War Room.”
